Dr. Todd is a Board Certified Orthopedic Spine Surgeon specializing in Adult Neck and Back Disorders. He completed his Undergraduate training at the University of Missouri, Columbia, and Orthopedic training at Doctors Hospital, Columbus, Ohio. Dr. Todd completed an Orthopedic Spine Fellowship at the Mayo Clinic. While there, he was trained in the latest technology caring for all types of Degenerative, Traumatic, Tumors and Deformities of the Spine. He is experienced in Minimally Invasive Techniques taking care of spinal disorders in the least invasive manner possible. Dr. Todd also performs the Artificial Lumbar Disc Replacement Procedure, as well as the PCM Artificial Cervical Disc. He joined OrthoNeuro in 2000.
He has been published in several professional journals and has served as editor, spine text, Yearbook of Orthopedics. He has given numerous presentations and lectures at The Mayo Clinic, The Cleveland Clinic, and podium presentations at The Cervical Spine Research Society, and The Musculoskeletal Tumor Society Meetings. He is a member of several professional organizations, including The North American Spine Society, American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons, American Osteopathic Association, and the American Medical Association. He has served as Assistant Clinical Professor of Orthopedic Surgery at Ohio University and the Ohio State University.
During his training, Dr. Todd served as liaison between the American Medical Student Association and Student Osteopathic Medical Association in Washington, D.C. He also served as Class President and ranked as high as 98th percentile on his National Boards Examination. Dr. Todd is a member of Sigma Sigma Phi for Academic Excellence and received numerous awards for Poster and Paper Presentations at National Meetings. Dr. Todd was nominated for the outstanding Mayo Specialty Fellow Award.
