Dr. Simek is a Board Certified Physiatrist specializing in non-operative spine care, musculoskeletal medicine, and electrodiagnostics. He was born and raised in north central Wisconsin and received his Bachelor's Degree from the University of Wisconsin in Madison where he graduated with Honors and was a member of the Phi Beta Kappa and Phi Kappa Phi Honor's Societies. He subsequently received his Medical Degree from the University of Wisconsin Medical School. Upon completion of medical school, Dr. Simek completed his Internship at Virginia Mason Medical Center in Seattle, WA and his residency in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at the Ohio State University Medical Center where he served as Chief Resident. After residency, he completed a year long Interventional Spine and Musculoskeletal Medicine Fellowship at Southwest Spine and Sports in Scottsdale, Arizona.
Dr. Simek is a member of the American Medical Association, American Academy of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, American Academy of Neuromuscular and Electrodiagnostic Medicine, and the International Spine Intervention Society. Dr. Simek lives in Galena, OH with his wife, and enjoys spending time with his family, traveling, hiking, outdoor activities and is an avid sports fan.
